I went to school and started work with the goal of entering the medical field, but I’ve always been a creative. I put my career on hold to grow a family, and fell in love with the art of children’s literature so I started an online bookshop, handling all of the website management, packaging, and design. My knowledge of the genre led to a job at my local indie bookstore, where I’ve focused on displays, marketing, and analytics, all with an eye to helping people have a great experience. I now work as an administrative assistant at a charter school, too, streamlining systems and solving problems.
I’m an attention-to-detail kind of person who loves to learn. I view being a beginner as an opportunity, not a deficit. I discovered UX a couple of years ago, started reading everything about it, and fell in love.
Good design is a blend of practicality and aesthetics. It is simple and intuitive. It helps. When something is designed well, it lifts our mood and gives us more time to focus on the things that matter. That’s a difference I want to be a part of.

I love being in nature or by a fireplace. Eating seasonally and eating sweets. Reading together, aloud, and alone. Arranging and organizing. I am solar-powered and forest-calmed. A collector of moments and capturer of memories. A chronic adopter of new crafts and hobbies. I believe that thoughtfulness and intention are key to a good life and good design.
